Boy's Disneyland dream comes true
Alaska works with The Moyer
Foundation to help young burn victim
November 17, 2005
Four-year-old
Alex Brown's wish just came true. After suffering burns from a gasoline
accident this summer and enduring months of medical treatment, he recently
boarded a Seattle-to-Los Angeles morning flight on his way to Disneyland.

Four-year-old
burn victim Alex Brown was enthusiastically
greeted at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport by (from
left to right) flight attendant Cat White, The Moyer Foundation
Co-Founder Karen Moyer, and flight attendants Corinne
Helgeson and Dorothy Gurney. |
The
trip results from the collaboration between Alaska Airlines and The Moyer
Foundation, a Seattle-based organization founded by Mariner's baseball
player Jamie Moyer and his wife, Karen, to help children in distress.
Together,
the organizations arranged for a three-day trip to Disneyland for Alex and
his family. Alex's story will be featured on "Dream Catchers", a
television special scheduled to air on Seattle's CBS affiliate, KIRO Channel
7, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and repeating at 11 a.m. on Christmas day.
