Once you have applied for a specific position, you will receive an automated email notification indicating we have received your information.

After you've applied for a front line position (Customer Service Agent, Reservations Agent, Flight Attendant, Cargo, Ramp Agent) you will need to schedule yourself for a recruiting event. Links showing upcoming events available in your selected time zone will be displayed below the list of jobs you have applied for. Please follow the on-line prompts to select the available location, date and time that is most convenient for you. You may also need to pass an on-line assessment. An HR representative will contact you as the event date approaches.
For other positions, an HR team member will review your qualifications and will notify you via email or telephone regarding your status.

For all interviews, you will want to dress professionally. This is your opportunity to put your best foot forward.

Typically the successful applicant will have more than one interview. For our front line positions, you will often meet with an HR recruiter and a department representative. For other positions, you might have multiple interviews on the same or different days.

This can vary depending on the position and the number of applicants. In any case, we will let you know the results as soon as possible. In some situations, we can let you know the same day as your interview.

Yes, Alaska Airlines is a smoke free company. In order to be considered for a position, a candidate must be nicotine free for at least 6 months from the day they interview for a position. In a few states, employers are restricted from asking questions regarding nicotine use. In such states, Alaska does not consider nicotine use in determining employment eligibility.
